Wendy Carlos
Without Wendy Carlos, we might not even have music containing synthesizers at all. Composer and pioneer Wendy Carlos is an important figure in the world of synthesizers. From her musical film scores (A Clockwork Orange, The Shining, Tron) to her synthesizer renditions of classical music, to becoming one of the first openly trans musicians, Wendy Carlos was a pioneer in many ways. She introduced the world to the synthesizer at a time when it was brand new. In this episode we talk about Wendy's impressive history and contributions to the world of synthesizers and music in general.
